The battery life is awesome. It's pretty tough 100% recommendI've only had this watch for a week and I love it. It is very light-weight, it has so many options for tracking activities. It has a built in altimeter which tracks elevation change, the GPS will track you if you want it to, so you can keep track of where you've been on an excursion or hike, or even a walk around town. I haven't even scratched the surface of the GPS functions it has built in.The batter life is crazy. Out of the box it had 16 days worth of battery. The solar charging with this model is outstanding. Just 15-30 minutes in direct sunlight gave me another da of battery life. Battery consumption will vary depending on whether or not you're constantly using GPS, or you have the watch configured to track your blood O2 levels...which I didn't even know it did until I received the watch.Something people should know however, is that you can't use this watch to reply to messages, or answer phone calls. That's not what it's for. It will however, show your notifications. As an owner of an iWatch and a Fossil smart watch with Google Wear, I found that I never actually used the function to reply to messages or answer the phone. This Instinct Solar is exactly what I needed. I work in an industrial environment and it is rugged enough to stand up to this environment.. It's also rated at up to 100 meters under water! So rain and/or sweat is absolutely no problem.I'm very satisfied with this product, it's perfect for people outdoors and active a lot.I got this for my husband who is a runner and a physical educator, he absolutely loves it. Does everything it says it does, he is very pleased with it.Rugged easy to useEasy to set up. Tracks steps well. When moving around the settings it takes time to switch back to the main screen. This is my first smart watch.I love all that this watch is able to do, and it accurately tracks my distance when walking!has all the options I wanted; highly recommendNo battery, no need to charge, finally satisfied.
