I purchased your Carnival 1986 # 8756G on March 20th. I love everything about the watch except for the fact, that over two days, it is already 30 seconds slow. That is 15 seconds a day which puts the watch I purchased way below the normally accepted accuracy of 99.994% of 4 to 6 seconds a day for a mechanical watch. At that rate, it will be one minute off in 4 days. This is my second Carnival watch of this style and my first was very accurate. What should I do? It can be adjusted at some cost to me which I want to avoid. I could return it which I'd like not to do. What do you suggest I do in this case? Thanks. It just arrived and I have not wound it yet, but it has the heft of my $500 Seiko and looks like it did in the picture. Some of the negative reviews: a word of caution. An automatic watch needs to be worn every day if you want it to stay wound, or get a watch winder which moves it around for you in storage. Wind it a bit before you store it in a watch winder. I don’t know how long this one will run once it’s off; my Bell and Ross lasts 18 hours I think.I have at least a dozen automatic watches in my collection, most of which cost considerably more than this Carnival watch. I have recently added three Chinese watches out of curiosity, and I have been very pleased with all three (Guanqin, Starking, and Carnival). This Carnival watch is very solid and well-made. The 39 mm size looks great on my smallish wrist. Every detail of this watch is perfect; fit and finish, materials give a very expensive look.Removing links was much easier than other watches that I have, and the bracelet is well-made and comfortable. The most pleasant surprise is the accuracy. Without measuring the gains/losses, I can tell that it goes almost a week without needing any adjustment at all. I have Orients and Seikos that aren't nearly as accurate. The only con is the limited water resistance...but, I don't need it for diving.Booklet translation to English reveals that the manufacturer could not hire a better translator. The movement accuracy (+20 sec/24 hrs) is fair for this price range. The bracelet does not allow microadjustments, but has solid end links and is better than the Invicta or Orient bracelets. The sapphire glass is a plus; however, does not have a screw down crown. Like some Invictas, the crown guards are not perfectly symmetric. My watch has a twisted cyclops and an off center day on the day/date window. I doubt it has a ceramic bezel. I believe that the Pagani Rolex homage is a better option since it has a Seiko movement and a screw down crown. Some unusual features for a watch less than $80 such as a sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel, spring-release clasp band and day-date automatic. Watch is nice quality and everything functions as it should. Runs slightly fast - comparable with automatics of much higher cost. Great luminosity at night. Does not have a screw-down crown and only 30M water resistance claimed - which tells me the manufacturer isn't inflating its specs. I've had no issues wearing it in the shower or rain, running it under a faucet, etc., but obviously not meant for diving. Green-silver combo looks sharp and isn't easy to find in decent quality automatics at a reasonable price like this. Resembles the Submariner but there are some obvious differences like the spring-release clasp and day-date cyclops. In short, a unique combo of features, quality, looks & price.Very nice crafted timepiece.Green color in natural light is closer to some "kermit" variations than "hulk" (which is the initial model variation this homage is based upon).Decent bracelet. No quality control issues noticed so far. Nice looking sunburst effects on dial - so overall 9/10 - spot on!Watch keeps accurate time, and is well finished, great quality for the price.I am incredibly impressed with this watch for the money! I wasn't expecting the packaging that it came in, either. I would absolutely buy this one again!EDIT: I hate to do this, but I'm docking a star. This isn't a chronograph despite the word on the face of the watch.Excellent watch for a great price. This watch is well made for a lifetime of great time keeping.
