I am an amateur watchmaker. My father was a professional watchmaker but he never had anything like this. Most of his tools were purchased around 1938. Long before Bergeon was readily available in America. His oil cups are all individual units. I'm trained as a machinist, not a watchmaker. I have always wanted a Bergeon oil cup stand but the price is quite prohibitive for someone who isn't doing this for a living. Even then cost is very difficult to justify. If I were a certified Rolex or Omega technician it would be different. But I'm not so the point is moot. These oil cups are a fantastic bargain. They are well made. The base and covers are nice heavy metal. The holder for the pith to clean the tips of your dip oilers can certainly be improved, but that is a minor detail that is easily remedied. Overall, an incredible value, even for a pro. The reservoirs appear to be glass, not plastic. Traditionally these would be made of agate. The covers are metal and nicely anodized. While certainly not Bergeon quality, this is an extremely nice oiler. As good or maybe better than AF or Horotec at a tiny fraction of the price. I think you'll be very happy with these.
