…it might have. I have loved my Apple Watch for like ever. Or at least I should say, I have loved the idea of it. It hasn’t sat comfortably and/or effectively on my wrist since I got it. More after the jump(Short version: if you’re narrow-wristed, this is a great option even if it’s near the edges of it’s adjustability. It’ll keep the watch in place without being bound overly tight. Get it)OK longer version. I am what you might call a dainty-wristed man. I almost appear normal-sized, in fact I’m just above average in almost all metrics: taller than average by a couple inches, heavier than average by 10lbs, stronger than average by a decent measure… but then there’s my wrists and ankles. I don’t know, they’re…. Long. Long and have an AMAZING taper, and by which I mean they start skinny and finish worse. This has proven to be a bit of an issue to me. It seems that with such skinny wrists, either the bubble on the back of the watch itself or the way the watch has to be strapped down to keep it in place with a teeter in the middle or some combination of those factors creates a push on a nerve (most likely the ulnar nerve) which for me presented as a slight pain in my ring or little finger depending on which wrist I wore it on, and then an eventual sharp pain that would develop on the inside of the shoulder joint along with a dull radiating pain near the back of my scapula; quite the collection of health issues for a device I got to satiate my desire for health data!I have tried multiple things to manage this. I have tried (with some success) cases that wrap around the watch body itself and lessen the bulge, and also those old school style wide leather pilot wrist cuffs. However, with the cases I would still only be able to do days-on, days-off approaches to minimize the nerve pain effect. With the cuff bands, they put the watch SOOOOO FAAAARRRR off the wrist that the health tracking abilities become suspect which undermines the point of the watch for me in the first place. But, they feel best.Enter this band.As soon as I put this on I was sold. OMG. It’s wide enough that it grabs so much wrist up and down that the watch can’t scoot up or down and dig in to press on pressure points. It manages to do this without being overly-tight, which I don’t even quite understand but trust me it works. I can keep it looser than other bands but still the watch stays put and also doesn’t “spin” around the wrist. Awesome. Currently I’m coupling it with a Spigen Rugged Armor case to really keep the bulge off the nerve and keep me happy, though i have experimented with just a regular press-on case and have seemed fine.I actually own the smaller 41mm watch, and they don’t make this band style for those small watches. HOWEVER, I can assure you that the lugs DO fit the watch, though they do stick out a little beyond the body of the watch. Since I religiously wear a case though, it has the effect of being flush.Another quick worry I had was that since I work in a high-impact environment, that the buckle clasp system would be easily jarred/pulled off and I could lose the watch. At the time of purchase for me, the pics just sort of led me to that conclusion. However, the actual design is more akin to apple’s metal Milanese loop, where the band wraps all the way around from lug to lug, and then the buckle clasps back to the adjuster on the other side. So, it’s really the best of both worlds for me. WORD OF CAUTION: my instinct when removing this band is to unbuckle, then put a finger under the band and pull out. DO NOT DO THIS. I have escaped consequence, but what happens is it slingshots the Buckle around the other side and whacks watch screen. EVERY. TIME. So I have to remind myself to hold the watch itself and loosen from there so the buckle just slaps the back of my hand a bit instead of the glass watch face.Overall, if you don’t have wrist issues and the preceding novella didn’t apply, it’s still a really cool band that is really wide and in fact appears wider in person than in product photos. It looks, feels, and performs well. If the preceding novella DOES apply to you, this is a must-have band get it.High concept design. The package was well thought.Unfortunately if you’re a male who buys the smaller Apple watch this band in that configurations doesn’t comfortably fit around your wrist. The band is a single loop type but there unlike the Velcro sport bands there is no tightening or loosening, it simply is.Overall satisfied with the look and feel. Hook takes a little getting used to but not bad at all once you do. Only complaint is that every so often I have to retighten it as I notice my watch gets loose on my wrist.Like a good value works perfect for meSuper comfortable. Looks good and even classy enough to work with the black titanium. Issues:1. I’m concerned about the sliders that attach to the watch. They appear plastic. Seems odd to put a big metal “clasp” on the band, and leave plastic on the watch side considering that’s where the downward-wrenching force happens as the band is tightened up. Easily a 4 star product if this were some form of aluminum/stainless/etc…5 if that metal also came in the darker options (space gray/black/carbon/whatever)2. Ok for me, but I’m right up at the end of the wrist size fit. Thing can go enormously oversized, but unforgiving for smaller wrists. The clasp is barely “under the curve” of my wrist and would be sitting on the side of a joint if any tighter were required….doesn’t impact my rating as it’s working fine for me, however if you wear less than a size 7 in APPLES stretchy/knit band, this may not accommodate you very wellI absolutely love this strap! Didn’t realize (pleasant surprise) that the strap has a bit of stretch to it. Previously purchased the Velcro edition, and was so happy I thought I’d try this out. The clasp is a fantastic sophisticated addition, and sizing is true to size. Color is a little lighter than showed, with more of a golden hue, but it’s still great. Add this to your collection for a comfortable and somewhat formal approach to your Apple Watch!I really like this band. It looks good, good quality, and fits good.Good but I have to constantly reposition the metal piece to keep it snug.
